I own a computer store and this simulator project started when a friend in the aviation business gave me an ejector seat from a T 33. I love flying and thought I could simply mount this seat on an office chair base to be used as a neat platform for flight simulators .
Friends told me of cockpits they had seen on the net and I started searching. I found www.acesim.com and Ken Hill's incredible "Joyrider". I ordered the plans and created a motion cockpit. I was hooked! It added a whole new dimension to simulated flying. I have been experimenting with Joyriders for more than five years and constructing aluminum units for two years. My big problem has been finding the time to build them. We now have a factory doing all the production and I get to tinker developing new products, like the yoke. |
